Pretty Ideas was borne from the often haphazard process of modern distribution and project acquisition. Backed by Ryan Kampe, founder of worldwide sales company Visit Films, and supported by the staff at Visit, Pretty Ideas will take advantage of a team that has had a long track record of identifying talent early, helping establish the careers of filmmakers such as David Robert Mitchell, the Duplass Brothers, Valerie Donzelli, Shane Carruth, Joe Swanberg, Megan Griffiths and Azazel Jacobs. Nurturing the early careers of this talent while introducing them to the worldwide distribution and festival circuits has placed us at a pivotal intersection of art and commerce. Combining our past expertise with our passion and creativity, Pretty Ideas wants to help filmmakers discover their “Pretty Fantastic Idea.”
